The company charges a huge commission. It is far better to buy the tickets directly from the actual Russian railway site the address of which is available in the lonely planet. No need to buy tickets from Russian Rail website as it is not the actual website of Russian railways. It fools the customers by sounding as Russian railways and thereafter charges 200% commission.

I bought the tickets in Chile, preparing my trip to Russia. Everything worked perfect with the trains. They were punctual, comfortable, everything was fine. An advice, from St. Pertersburg to Tallinn, the Russian police checked me, asking if I had alcohol, cigarettes and medicines, I recommend not carry on any of that in order to avoid problems. the train service was excellent!

Lovely ride at brisk pace. \n\nWe\u0027re happy to have taken Sapsan train option to go to Moscow from St Petersburg. The decor, table seat and service was pretty good.
