Sapsan from Moscow to St. Petersburg

We traveled from Moscow to St. Petersburg on the Sapsan high speed train. Getting tickets and information on Russian Rail was easy. Information is complete and accurate, available in English. Train was pleasant and comfortable, and the whole experience was worry free.\n\nIf you are planning a similar trip, I would recommend don\u0027t bother with the economy+ class that provides a free \u0022meal\u0022. It is just a very small cold sandwich and a cookie. Cookie was good. Sandwich was one thin slice of cold chicken and 3 slices of pickle on very soft cold bread. No sauce. No condiments. Not worth it. Buy food in the train station and carry on.\n\nAlso: free wifi on train is very unstable. Don\u0027t count on it.\n\nNevertheless, we would definitely make this trip again. The Sapsan train was otherwise quite modern and nice.

Russian Rail Is An Excellent Choice

Russian Rail has always provided me with excellent service for my train and taxi reservations. The reservation process is easy and quick. If there is a need to later change the reservation, you already have the name, e-mail, and phone number of your personal representative. Changes are similarly easy and quick.\n\nThe train tickets are in Russian and English so both sides can understand. When presented along with a passport to the train attendant, boarding goes smoothly. The taxi drivers are prompt, polite, and professional plus are good drivers. \n\nI have the greatest confidence in Russian Rail continuing to provide me with excellent service.

Great experience - so easy to book and everything worked smoothly as promised. I\u0027d definitely use again for any future train travel I make in Russia.

It was easy to make the reservations. The trip was comfortable and the train left and arrived on time. It was easy to find the seat places.

We took a train from Helsinki \u0026 St. Petersburg - Moscow round trip. Easy to book online (we did it from Portland, Oregon USA. The service was great, on time and organized. We had print-outs of our tickets from home, but didn\u0027t use them as everything was done with our passport.

It was very easy to buy the tickets, and the staff were very helpful with our enquiries and changes.\nIt\u0027s also a confortable and quick way to travel.\nIt could be cheaper if you buy the tickets in advance.

I used Russian Rail for the first time to pre book my journey from Moscow to St Petersburg. The site was easy to make the right choices for me. Tickets and confirmation came through immediately and I had no problems on the day of travel. I would recommend Russian Rail to anyone wanting to use the rail service in Russia, especially with the World Cup coming around in 2018. They take the stress out of travel.

When booking even though it was well in advance of the trip itself I was contacted to assure me that my booking was logged in and when tickets were issued I received them automatically, without me having to chase it. Even with the language barrier, staff was friendly and helpful. The train service itself is even better than Eurostar!

I recently used Russian Rail for the third time and found the service to be excellent and exceptionally professional. At about the same time I made my reservations my son made reservations with a competing company. We made separate reservations since our start and stop dates of travel were different. The problems my son experienced are too numerous to detail in this space, but suffice it to say he had to eventually cancel with that company. His experience makes me especially appreciative of the service I have received with Russian Rail.
